Professor Christina Cleveland, the first Associate Professor of the Practice of Reconciliation at Duke University’s Divinity School and the author of Disunity in Christ: Uncovering the Hidden Forces that Keep Us Apart presents a powerful reminder and a necessary challenge to those of us who would see Jesus as socially colored white.  While it is not a matter of Jesus’ skin color to be sure, it is important to see him as he was– as it can only aid us in seeing those that we so easily ignore and render invisible.
