Witnesses. That’s what we need more of. We need more persons to stand up and say, “I see change.” And they can see change because they have vowed to be a part of it. They see it in themselves.

This starts with truth- telling. It is challenging. But, it is the only way that we can defeat the lies of race and its progeny.

I was especially encouraged by this story about Pittsburgh Police Chief Cameron McLay who held up the sign pictured above on New Year’s Eve. Talk about a resolution! That’s not just for a new year but a new life, a new humanity.

But, he’s just one human being, one witness. Will there be another?

I wonder if police rules do not allow ‘political’ protests. I know my work says that emails can only be work related. I would assume that same goes for political protests at work.
