Maybe it is the number of police- involved incidents, the media coverage or the impact of social media to mobilize a generation who watched these events in black and white footage.  Thought to be days long past, believing that it would never be that bad again, we gave Dr. King a holiday.  Clearly, we can’t take the day off.
