There is heaviness everywhere.
Not the heaviness, nothing in particular.
Not a heaviness, nothing in general.
Just heaviness.
All heavy.
Heavy- lifting.
Heavy- silence.
Heavy- breathing.
Heavy- hearted.
Due to the heavy- handed,
Which makes for labored human being.
There is heaviness everywhere.
Solid and dense.
Weighty and murky.
Unholy.
Instead, very human.
Heavy weight,
Champion human beings of the world.
Weighted down by words
and images
and people
made in the image of God,
who speak words
and confuse themselves with God,
or who don’t believe in God
but believe themselves to know everything
and to have done everything,
taking all the credit,
Who see themselves everywhere and anywhere in the world—replacing all cultures with theirs and claiming their contributions,
Who feel themselves to be more powerful than everyone.
Let that sink in.
But, be careful.
It’s heavy.
