It’s Wednesday and if it’s Wednesday, it’s time for a push. Some call it hump day and we might need a bit of assistance today, a gentle nudge that we can make it, that we are not alone though life seems hard to climb. Well, that’s my purpose today.
The season of Advent is over and there are those who are still waiting. But, our wait is over. Christ has come.
So, we are not waiting for the clock to strike twelve. No fairy tale here: no evil stepfamily, no prince, no pumpkin, or magic slipper here. We are not waiting for the ball to drop and confetti to fall. We are not waiting for a new year in order to become new people or to do new things.
We, who have confessed Christ, are already being made new. We are made new creatures because of our relationship with God (Second Corinthians 5.17). So, if there are changes to be made, what are you waiting for?
